Memorial Day Parade, 2008
Parade Instructions and Route Map
The Boy Scouts of America can always be seen participating in Memorial Day Parades across the
United States. The Scouts of Pack 236 proudly participate in the South Lyon activities in
recognition of the men and woman who honorably served and died for our country.
To start the parade, Pack 236 Scouts will line up at Bartlett Elementary School at 9:00 am. Scouts
walk through the center of town along Lake Street and finish the route at the South Lyon
Cemetary. At the cemetary, a moving tribute to the heros of our armed forces is presented.
After the ceremony, also at the ceremony, the Boy Scouts of America arrange a United State flag
retirement ceremony. If you have a flag that is tattered and ready to be disposed, this ceremony
provides the proper means to retire a flag. http://usscouts.org/usscouts/ceremony/flagret2.asp
